"Take care of your health and limit stress"

Have you ever felt like you are never done with school work and you never have time for yourself?

Many people might feel like they never will be done with school, work or your own responsibilities, but you should also release your stress by exercising  by having fun going to places.

Stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs your physical and mental equilibrium. A little bit of stress, known as “acute stress”, can be exciting- it keeps us active and alert. But long-term or “chronic stress,” can have detrimental effects on health.

Stress is necessary for life. You need stress for creativity, learning, and your very survival. Stress is only harmful when it becomes overwhelming and interrupts the healthy state of equilibrium that your nervous system needs to remain in balance. Unfortunately, overwhelming stress has become an increasingly common characteristic of contemporary life.

Rhythmic exercise—such as running, walking, rowing, or cycling—is most effective at relieving stress when performed with relaxation in mind. As with meditation, mindfulness requires being fully engaged in the present moment, focusing your mind on how your body feels right now.

Here are some other ways to:
Deal with Stressful Situations

Change the situations:

-         Avoid the stressor
-         Alter the stressor

Change your reaction:

-         Adapt to the stressor
-         Accept the stress

Stress management starts with identifying sources of stress in your life. To identify or your true sources of stress, look closely at your habits. There’s healthy ways to manage your stress

Make time for fun and relaxation:  Health ways to relax and recharge

-         Go for a walk
-         Spend time in nature
-         Call a good friend.
-         Sweat out tension with a good workout.
-         Write in your journal

According both Smith (2014) and Segal (2014) explained how to managed and prevent stress, only Segal argued for the demands on caregiving stress and burnout.

Smith argues in how to prevent, reduce, and manage stress in many healthy ways and identifies the sources of stress in your life. In contrast of Smith, Segal argues about how caregiving for a loved one can cause stress and burnout. He states that can affect your own health and affects the ability to provide for care. Managing the stress levels in your life is just as important as making sure your family member gets to his doctor’s appointment or takes her medication on time.

In comparison both Smith(2014) and Segal(2014) persuades us in reducing, preventing  and managing stress in ways we can release our stress in healthy ways. They both want to guide people to have a better way to deal with stressful situations.

It’s important to have a balance triangle in your every day’s life to have a healthy lifestyle. Now that you learn on how to deal with stress, why don’t you help guide other people to deal with these issues?
